Chronology of MHT CET Examination

  • Till 2013, the state of Maharashtra organized MHT CET to provide admissions to various undergraduate engineering aspirants in the state
  • After 2013, the exam was scrapped and admission were given based on the performance in JEE Main
  • MHT CET came into existence again from 2016

MHT CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates planning to appear for MHT CET 2017 must have qualified 10+2 from any recognized board in India
  • The candidates are required to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM)
  • The minimum score required for SC/ST/OBC candidates is 45%
  • There is no age limit for candidates appearing for MHT-CET 2017

MHT CET 2017 Syllabus

MHT CET 2017 Paper Pattern

MHT CET aspirants must know the exam paper pattern thoroughly. Below is the required pattern:

  • Candidates are required to appear for three papers:
  • Physics and Chemistry – 100 marks each
  • Mathematics – 100 marks each
  • Botany and Zoology – 100 marks each
  • The paper will consist of objective type questions
  • The exam paper will have no negative marking
  • Candidates are required to clear all the three papers separately in order to get admission in state engineering colleges

MHT CET 2017 Application Procedure

  • MHT CET Application Form 2017 will be available from February 14
  • Candidates will have to register and fill the online application form for MHT CET 2017 before March 23, 2017. Application form for MHT CET must be filled and submitted online only
  • Once submitted, candidates need to take the print out of confirmation page generated after completion of MHT CET 2017 Application Form
  • Candidates should not send the hard copy of the confirmation page to the exam conducting authority

MHT CET 2017 Selection Procedure

Selection procedure of MHT CET will depend on the applicant’s performance and rank in MHT CET 2017 result. Based on the top scores, candidates will be allotted their preferred colleges.

MHT CET 2017 Exam Centers

DTE releases the list of exam centers where the upcoming MHT CET exam will be held. Applicants can choose the centre on their own as their preference is usually given the importance. However, rarely due to certain circumstances the exam centers are allotted on random basis.

MHT CET 2017 Result

MHT CET Result will be announced in the first week of June 2017 (tentatively). The result will list down the actual marks of the candidates they will score in MHT CET 2017. Based on the marks in the result, admissions will be given to undergraduate engineering programs across the colleges/institutes in the state of Maharashtra.

MHT CET 2017 Counselling

MHT CET 2017 Counselling will be done by DTE on the basis of MHT CET 2017 merit of the candidates. The procedure includes registration, document verification, seat selection, allocation of seat. Once the counselling of MHT CET will get over, DTE will release the closing rank of all engineering colleges.

MHT CET 2017 Preparation Tips

Candidates appearing for MHT CET must prepare thoroughly for this engineering entrance exam considering the competition level. Below are the preparation tips for MHT CET:
