NEET 2017 Syllabus

NEET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible to appear for this exam, candidates must fulfill its eligibility criteria at the time of applying. Check below and know whether you will be eligible.

  • Nationality – The candidate must be a citizen on India or Overseas Indian Citizen (OCI)
  • Age Limit – Applicant must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2016. The age limit is 25 years for general and 30 years for SC / ST / OBC category candidates

He/She must be born on or between:

  1.  01/01/87 to 01/01/2000 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
  2.  01/01/92 to 01/01/2000 (Other Category)

NEET 2017 Paper Pattern

NEET will be conducted in pen and paper based format at different centers as fixed by the exam authority. The exam will be for 3 hours. Check the below table for complete NEET 2017 Exam Pattern:

NEET 2017 Important Dates

NEET 2017 Application Procedure

NEET form will be available in online mode only. The application procedure for this exam usually involves 4 important steps:

  1. Registration
  2. Uploading photograph and signature
  3. Fee payment
  4. Taking print of payment confirmation page

Before applying for the exam, candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria completely so that their forms don’t get rejected.

NEET 2017 Admit Card

Once the application form is filled and submitted, you need to download the admit card. It is the most important document without which you will not be allowed to take the test. Therefore download the card and safe keep it for future reference. NEET Admit Card will include candidate’s name, roll number, category, exam center, exam date and time, photograph etc. In order to download the card, the applicant need to enter their registration number and date of birth.

NEET 2017 Answer Key

Once the exam gets over, candidates look for correct answer key to know whether they have marked all answers correctly. Soon after the exam, StudMonk release NEET answer key to help such candidates gauge their exam performance and calculate tentative score. The official answer key, though is released almost after one month of the exam.

NEET 2017 Result

Result for NEET will be announced on June 8, 2017. The result for only those candidates will be declared who pass the entrance exam. Depending on the marks scored by the candidates, CBSE will prepare merit list. The successful candidates can go for counselling to get admission in country’s best college.

NEET 2017 Counselling

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct NEET 2017 Counselling for allotment of MBBS and BDS seats under 15% All India Quota. It will be done online and might involve two rounds.
