NEET: 10,000 more Medical Seats likely to be added in 2017

A good news for all medical aspirants in the country. Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Faggan Singh Kulaste has announced that medial seats will be added by 10,000 in 2017 through NEET.

Speaking in the second healthcare summit-Rajasthan 2016 in Jaipur, he quoted that 58 identified medical colleges across India will be upgraded by next year.

“The ministry is taking all steps to provide medical and health services to people. Efficient services are being made available to public with the use of IT,” he said, according to a report in PTI.

The Supreme Court of India has recently cancelled the counselling process of private colleges in Madhya Pradesh. It has been alleged that some students are not allowed to attend the counselling process, even if they have qualified NEET. This is the violation of the rule of common admission process as laid by the Supreme Court of India.
