NEET mandatory for Post Graduate Medical Courses

After being made compulsory nationwide for UG medical and dental courses, NEET is also made mandatory for post graduate medical courses in Gujarat. The state government has made NEET compulsory for admission to the PG medical and paramedical courses.

University of Gujarat had been conducting its own exam for admissions to PG seats, including 300 seats of BJ Medical and NHL Medical colleges. A sum of 1,500 odd students had registered for the examination.

As per the rules, the 300 PG seats will now be filled based on NEET score. Interested candidates need to fill their forms between November 23 and November 25. The form filling, submission and fee payment will be done online only.

Aspirants will have to produce their scores to the university by January 30. The merit list will be declared on February 28. Students will have to lock their choices between April 4 and April 10 and the allocation of the seats will be done on April 15.
