  1.    Marine Engineering: Marine engineering is a dynamic field, with high salaried jobs and posts. To get the best job, you should have a Bachelor’s degree of technology from a college approved by the Directorate General of Shipping and the Government of India.
    Marine engineer’s salary is based on rank. However, as on October 2016, the average pay of a Marine Engineer is Rs. 1,185, 151 per year. Rank wise, the average monthly salary of a Fifth Engineer (Cadet) is Rs. 35000 to 75000; Fourth Engineer is Rs. 1.5 to 2.25 Lacs; Third Engineer is Rs. 2.75 to 3.5 Lacs; Second Engineer is Rs. 4 to 5 Lacs; and Chief Engineer is Rs. 5 Lacs and above.

Software Engineering is one of the most preferred engineering degrees in India. This branch of engineering features some of the highest paid executives in the leading brands of Indian companies. Even though a new entrant, the emergence of computer science and technology has created a lot of job opportunities with excellent pay.
    As far as remuneration is concerned, a fresher gets an average package of Rs. 2.4 to 8.5 Lakhs p.a. However, there are computer technology firms like Facebook, Google and Twitter, which are known to offer higher packages of up to Rs. 1 Crore per annum too. Although it is not common to find job opportunities abroad in this field, the stream of study definitely offers plenty of scope with attractive packages. On an average, the pay of petroleum engineering is Rs. 8, 25,414 per annum. For a fresher in this field, salary ranges from Rs. 3 to 7 lakhs p.a. Employment opportunities are available in some of the leading public sectors like OVL, HPCL, ONGC and likes.
  2.       Chemical Engineering: Chemical Engineering is one of the widely chosen engineering degrees in India. Chemical Engineers can earn a lucrative starting salary package ranging between Rs. 25000 to Rs. 60000 per month. Candidates with more than 6 years’ work experience can earn a higher package. As of October 2016, an average chemical engineer earns up to Rs. 423045 per year. However, in this field of engineering, people generally do not have more than 10 years’ work experience.
  3.       Mechanical Engineering: A traditional domain of engineering, mechanical engineers have their roots firmly placed in some of the heavy manufacturing industries like mining, metal and forging, steel and automobiles. There are diversified job opportunities for mechanical engineers in this country. A fresh graduate can expect a package between 1.8 to 5 Lakhs p.a. which would gradually rise with enhanced skill set and work experience. On an average, the salary of a mechanical engineer as on Oct 2016 is Rs. 254.34/hr. or Rs. 352365 per annum.
