2017 Medical Admission to be based on NEET score only, Confirmed!

CBSE has clarified queries of medical aspirants and their parents with regards to the consideration of Class 12th score along with NEET marks for medical admission. Despite the clarification, there is still ambiguity about admission rules for deemed universities in state, or the NEET 2017 syllabus.

Director of Medical Education and Research has made an assurance that it would be completely based on NEET scores. the DMER Director, Dr. Pravin Shinghare said “weightage to class 12 marks, medical admission have given no weightage to class 12 marks since 1999, and we will continue the same rule in 2017. As for 2018, we can decide later.

In January, a statement has been released that Class 12 marks will also be given weightage for medical admission.

NEET 2017 is also going through rough patch; parents have complained about the basic norms been tweaked by CBSE, thereby causing confusion and trouble to NEET aspirants.

Parents have complained about other problems, including an unclear stand by CBSE on the portion applicable for NEET 2017. “The website says that the portion will include questions from CBSE as well as a common state board syllabus, but there is no such thing as a common state board syllabus. Each state has a different syllabus,” said Sudha Shenoy, another parent. Many are hoping to hear form the CBSE soon for better clarity.

      Hi Dharmendra,
The candidate should have to go through the different national and state level entrance examination like:

      KLEU AIET – KLE University
AP EAMCET – Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test
Assam CEE – Assam Combined Entrance Examination
TS EAMCET – Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test
The selection of the candidate is based on the final merit as the sum of the total numbers obtained in the qualifying examination as 12th and the number scored in the entrance examinations.

      Good Luck!
