5 Most Important Things NEET 2017 Aspirants Should Focus On In Last 4 Months

When you are preparing for NEET, time seems to run really fast. During the final phase of preparation, when only 4 months are left, it’s time to revise everything you have studied for NEET 2017. Undoubtedly, NEET is one of the toughest tests and you need to be thoroughly prepared in the final few months. Seek help and get the most out of your study schedule to secure a position with these tips.

Noted below are 5 tips to consider:

Tip#1: Know your NEET 2017 Syllabus

Yes, it’s really important to know the entire syllabus to study and have a strategy. Since NEET follows NCERT syllabus, students often don’t bother to revise the syllabus. Before the final phase of the test, just go through the syllabus and try to check if you have missed out something, which may be important for NEET 2017.

Tip#2: Have a Study Schedule

When only 4 months are left for the test, it is obvious that students would have covered almost the entire syllabus. However, that’s not enough! Students should also have a study schedule and a strategy to follow. Plan a weekly schedule and stick to it, unless of course, you have solid reasons to divert from the schedule. In this process, you can also figure out the number of chapters that require specific attention and revision. Working this way would allow you to cover the entire syllabus uniformly. Allot timings to different segments/chapters and maintain it.

Tip#3: Take Mock Tests

Time is one of the greatest constraints of NEET. In order to stay on time and solve 180 questions in 180 minutes, i.e. 3 hours, you have to take mock tests frequently. Time management, in fact, is a mandatory skill for NEET as you cannot spare more than 1 minute per question. When you practice at home, make sure you are always aware of the time limitation. You should aim to solve questions before time so that you can give one final revision before submitting the paper.

Tip#4: Revise

The last few months are crucial for revision. Considering that most students already complete the entire syllabus of NEET 6 months ahead of the exam, the last 4 months can be utilised solely for revision and mock tests. In addition, students can also concentrate on the weaker subjects and try to improve. If you have some handy notes, use it to the optimum during the last couple of months. Read your books, study materials and notes so that you don’t miss out on anything.

Tip#5: Stay Healthy

It is very important to stay healthy before, during and after NEET preparation and exam. While you have to dedicate a lot of time to your course and study schedule, take the time to eat healthy and nutritious food. Also, you must get restful sleep and stay stress-free. Students often feel extremely stressed before NEET, which affects their performance negatively. So, you should aim to face your NEET with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm rather than fear and scepticism.
