Candidates above 25 years allowed to appear for NEET, Form Filling Date Extended till April 5 – SC

The Supreme Court of India allowed candidates above 25 years to appear in NEET. As per the court’s order, aspirants above 25 years of age can now appear in the NEET examination thrice, as new criteria for the same has been introduced.

Why this decision?

It was noted that the age limit prohibited aspirants who after graduation, were desirous of pursuing the course.

Counsel for CBSE, advocate C K Singh, was opposed to the idea, on the basis that the formalities for the exam had already been finalised and it would take a huge amount of effort to redo the entire exercise.

However, the apex court disagreed with the argument.

With this news, one more notification was released – extension of the NEET 2017 application form submission date. The date for submission of applications forms has also been extended till April 5.
