Candidates above 25 years allowed to appear for NEET, Form Filling Date Extended till April 5 – SC

The Supreme Court of India allowed candidates above 25 years to appear in NEET. As per the court’s order, aspirants above 25 years of age can now appear in the NEET examination thrice, as new criteria for the same has been introduced. Read more

NEET 2017 Exam Centres: Last Date for Correction Extended till March 31

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for correction of exam city till 31 March 2017. Candidates should note that, the web portal for giving options for exam city will be open till 31 March 2017 (midnight).

Not just that, it has also made notable changes with regards to NEET 2017 Exam Centres. Recently, CBSE added 24 more cities as NEET 2017 exam centres. The exam which is scheduled to be held on May 7, 2017 will be held in total 104 cities. It will now have exam centres across Nanded as well. Read more

The number of registrations for NEET 2017 has relatively increased. Last year 8, 02,594 candidates registered for NEET/AIPMT. This year 11, 35,104 candidates have been registered. Medical Council of India Eliminates limit on Age and Number of Attempts for NEET

The Medical Council of India (MCI) has removed the number of attempt and age limit for NEET. From now there will be no limit on the number of attempts for a candidate in NEET or age at which he/she can appear for the exam. Read more

Centre Likely to Conduct NEET in Urdu from 2018

Centre government in its response to the apex court of India regarding a plea filed by Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) on conducting NEET in Urdu, said that the government may consider it in 2018 not this year. 

On 3rd march 2017, a bench comprising of Justices Kurian Joseph and R Banumathi issued notice to Centre and MCI seeking their response on why National Eligibility cum Entrance test be not also conducted in Urdu language, which is sixth most spoken language in India. Read more


CBSE Opens One Time NEET 2017 Application Form Correction Window for Applicants

With the NEET 2017 application date already over, a lot of applicants were worried about the mistakes they have entered in the form. For such candidates, there is a good news! CBSE has opened one time NEET 2017 Application Form correction window to ensure the form is error free. The correction facility is available on from March 7 (10:00 a.m.) to March 12, 2017 (11:59 p.m.)

ABVP Demands More NEET Exam Centres in Maharashtra

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has written to state medical education minister Girish Mahajan to increase the NEET Exam Centres in the state of Maharashtra. It has demanded for examination centres in each district of Maharashtra, to make it feasible for students from small towns and villages to take the test.

Recently, CBSE has announced that all the NEET Exam Centres in the state will be in six major cities of the state, namely Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune and Thane.
